Blog post for next class: In the early days of this course we want to establish a framework in which we apply new technologies to both teaching and learning in the classroom. So let's start with your own experiences and values as a future educator. Tapping into your own experiences as a teacher/learner, what do you consider to be great teaching and learning? What are your most memorable teaching/learning experiences? What is the ideal that you strive for/want to strive for in your work? What do you think are the challenges teachers and learners encounter? What are your most pressing questions about teaching and learning? With this assignment you are beginning to define the lens through which you look at good teaching and learning at this moment it time - your framework. Don't be theoretical; share some of your real experiences as a teacher and as a learner. (But be careful to not be too detailed as your blog is public.) Please complete this by Thursday's class so we can all read them in class and comment on them. Here is a rubric for blogging. REFLECTION is key. Good writing is important, too. Length is whatever works best for you and the story you want to tell.
